AT LAST! Aweber Opt In Forms On Your Lenses!

If I had a dollar every time an internet marketer asked me if they can put an opt in form on their lens… I would have, well, a lot of dollars.

It is probably the most requested Squidoo feature from internet marketers. They want to use their lenses to build mailing lists.

Ever since Squidoo blocked the i-frame code we have been unable to get this working on lenses.

Until now.

You can now put a live opt in form on your Squidoo lenses!

Not an image of the opt in form like like normal, and not a link to your opt in page.

An actual opt in form live in a module on your lens.

I put it all into a guide to take you through step by step, so you can’t fail at it.

You can read more and download it at SquidooTricks.com

Lewis :)

  1. Oh yes - there is an example sign up box on http://www.squidoo.com/tricks

  2. It is a nice feature to have.
Mailing list is the biggest asset of an internet marketer.

  3. I think this is a good idea, at least it does allow people to sign up for a mailing list if they have one.

Wonder if it will allow you to sign people up for Yahoo Groups though? Actually without forms it’s just a matter of them sending an email to the signup address, so this is not necesary, but for other opt in lists that’s great.

  4. hi lewis - me again - i bought the guide to getting a form on a squidoo lens even thogh we don’t use Aweber - we use software on our own servers but alas it doesn’t run Javascript in the same way - it still uses archaic html so back to the drawing boards for me. Well done for getting it to work with aweber.
    Warm regards Paul

  5. Lewis, this is outstanding! Thank you very much.

I purchased your report and put what I learned into action on one of my lenses, and it worked perfectly.

I blogged about my experience here:

How to add an Aweber subscribe form to your Squidoo lens

Your report gave excellent, clear instructions on how to do just what I wanted on my lenses.

    Act on your dream!

  6. Hi MrLewis,

I purchased this the other day - I’m very happy about it. :-) Not being able to build a list is something that made me turn away from Squidoo for a while (even though I still love it!)

I love what you’ve done with your blog.

    Katherine

  7. hi Lewis - you are a star - what more can i say. We don’t use Aweber or Getresponse for data security reasons but run our own software on our own servers so to be able to put optin forms on squidoo is wonderful - if we met right now i might get emotional
    Thank you once again
    Paul
    http://www.squidoo.com/osolean_UK is just one example

  8. I haven’t bought the report. I use GetResponse. Does this work with GetResponse too?

  9. @Adrian Lee: Yep! It works with all html-based opt in forms. Aweber, GeResponse, etc. Pretty much all actually :)

  10. Hi Lewis - we are using the optin forms on our Auto response autoresponder - it works really well and it doesn’t take too long to make new ones. Well done - what next audio on squidoo?

  11. @Paul Barton: I’m sure if you can put an opt in form on Squidoo you can put audio also with a little creativity. Possibly with the same technique.

Great blog by the way, Mr Smile.

  12. @Paul - It’s coming!
