SquidCasting Tips (getting more visitors, and spreading your links)

Thefluffanutta has just published some helpful tips for using SquidCasts more effectively.

Here they are:

All of the casts you make will be published in the lens RSS feed, and potentially syndicated elsewhere, so make sure your titles are good ones. The title of each cast will be linked to your lens, and search engines will use that as a factor when ranking your lens.

squid-bookmark.pngDon’t assume that everyone reading the cast has favourited the lens. People who have joined your fan club will also see it, but might have not ever been to your lens before. Use your cast to invite people to vists your lens, either again or for the first time.

What do you like best about SquidCasts?

Lewis :)

  1. Thanks for posting Fluffy’s tips. I thought the casts only went to the people who favorited the lens. That’s very useful information. I’m off to join Fluffy’s fan club now, too!

  2. Here’s another one: you can include Basic HTML in your casts, like bold, italics and perhaps more importantly links.
