Rule Number 1: Get Blogging!
Posted on Dec 10 2008
I’ve written about the importance of blogging before, and like in any good friendship I feel like I can talk about the same topics again and again.
So here it is.
Blog About Your Topic and Your Lenses!
If you are making Lenses on Squidoo to earn yourself any kind of money, you need a blog too. If only to blog about every new lens you make.
I have put together a few lenses lately to push you to get started if you haven’t already.
They are:
- 13 Reasons Why You Need a Blog (the stats I put in one of the modules on this lens are DEFINITELY worth reading)
Set up a blog. Make it your christmas gift to yourself. All you need is to invest some time. It will pay off.

Great advice Lewis! I initially started blogging in late 2004 on Google. Interesting thing, my first blog posts were about the importance of blogging! Imagine that. Well, I totally agree with you that you should have a blog or two and be blogging about your Squidoo lenses.
This is great stuff. I am relatively new at blogging. I just need to do it more consistently. I love Squidoo lenses because you can be so creative and you have a source of traffic ready at hand. Thanks again Lewis.
@Sandy Davison: I love turning blog posts into lenses, and vice-versa. Blogs and lenses are a match made in heaven!
I’ve been blogging about Squidoo for about 3 months now. It’s starting to get some traction, and a few readers. Still waiting for the money to start, but it will eventually show up. If you aren’t blogging, you should be. You’re missing out on a way to get more people to visit your lenses and a potentially lucrative money stream.
And it’s fun too!
As always you give good advice – and I love the blogs you’ve done for me.
