New: Categories!
Exciting times. 
Squidoo has just created 10 new categories for us to play with.
They have added a couple that probably could/should have been added from the beginning (like Home & Garden!) and they added a couple that are more of an experiment than anything else (like Duel and the potentially-troublesome Work at Home).
Here is the list of new categories:
* Books
* About me
* Humor
* Home & Garden
* Religion & Spirituality
* Work at Home
* Green Living
* Pop Culture & Celebs
* Squidoo How To
* Duels
Books is interesting, because squidoo lensmasters sell a LOT of books (a LOT!).
Also, the fact that ‘Squidoo How To’ needs it’s own category is a nice testament to the whole bunch of great people helping others on squidoo.
And Green Living – that should draw a lot of traffic.

I’m still hoping for a Christmas category (which would make the lens itself go all Christmassy and tinsel covered), and a few people are still hoping for a History category, but we can dream on

I have had fun today moving a whole bunch of lenses to different and more appropriate categories!! Excited to see what that does to rankings tomorrow.
PS me too. we need Christmas and Halloween and History next! but oh how thrilled I am with the new additions we do have!
That book category was a long time coming. I did my first fiction novel review on squidoo a couple of days ago before the update. I’ll go ahead and switch my category. Thanks for the update Lewis
Cool! I’m one of the ones on SquidU that’s been asking for more categories! I can go reset several of my lenses now!
Great additions – I agree! Just wondered why you thought Work-at -Home was potentially troublesome?
I’d like a real estate category. D’you know how to appeal to Megan and Seth to get one?
