How To Add A Banner To Your Lens
Have you seen a lens with a banner in one of the modules?
Although the effectiveness of banner ads has fallen to an all time low (with text links taking the lead), you may have a banner you just REALLY want to display.
Whatever the reason, here is how to insert a banner ad into a Text Module.
1. Add a text module to your lens
2. Paste this code into the box: <p align=”center”><a href=”“><img src=”“>
</a></p>
3. Edit the two bits in bold. The first bit is where you want the banner to take someone when they click it, and the second bit if the filename of the banner image itself.
4. Save the module. You’re now done! You should now have a centered banner that links to your chosen page.

Have tried to add that code to my squidoo but it doesn’t register at all.Nothing shows up when i save. What could i be doing wrong.
I copy and try to paste but Nada.
Hi Maria,
When you paste in the above code, you replace the bits in bold with both the link where you want the person to go to if they clicked the banner, and also the banner filename itself.
For example, if the filename of my banner was and the link I wanted the banner to link to was then the code would read:
And if I put that into a Text module, it would turn into a clickable banner linking to the proper link.
You will need to find the two file locations for both the link and the image before you paste in the standard code.
Good luck!

P.S. If you want a hand constructing the code just post both the links here.

Hi there,
I have the same problem and I know for sure that I am using the correct codes.
Nothing shows.
They’ve probably changed the rules again. LOL
thanks for your help i will give it a try…
But where do you get the www. for your image from. do you have to have it loaded on flicka or photobucket someplace like that?
Hey Darlene!
I host the image on my own website server. But photobucket should work too.
If the code isn’t working for anyone, it is here: http://www.squidoo.com/lenspics
