One of my favorite modules is the Polaroid module. It basically acts as a frame for photos you want to post on your lenses.

I use it to decorate my lenses by taking a photo of a product and then using the poloroid module to highlight it. It is also difficult to find. Again you have to use the A-Z search to find it. You can see how I have used it on two of my lenses:

It really makes sense to take on this strategy. Why lose a visitor if they don’t find what they were looking for. Or if they did find it, lets help them find more lenses they may like.

Hey Lewis,

two of my top 3 lenses are made up almost entirely with FLM’s. I just added some relevant content and a few pics and videos, but the weight of the lenses is carried by other lensmasters works (and my own, of course). Both lenses are ranked around 300-400.

I definitely include featured lenses under most of my sites for related lenses. I’ve also used it as a way to feature groups where the lens is a member (something Kim has noted in the Help Africa Group).

I do a alphabet search for “F” to find the module. I seem to remember that it used to be a default / basic for a time. Maybe they’ll include it back again.

Here here! Lewis — you are so right! The featured lens is very cool BUT I’ve got to search for it every time I want to add it! It should definitely be a DEFAULT module. I also like text and Polaroid modules, not to mention the Wikipedia module.

Oh yeah, the FeatLensMod … been using that since I discovered it, January maybe?

A lot of my early lenses were related so I would include the FLM on each in a series, to easily (and quite attractively) guide readers to my other lenses on the subject! (Model horses, for example — within that niche there is collecting, showing, customizing, different makes, etc.)
